She’s finally finished: Champagne Dahlia Flower Bloom
It took me about six months to complete my “Champagne Dahlia” flower, named after its golden petal hues.
This is the second flower I have completed, my first being the Sunflower bloom chart which I also have available for purchase.
All of my flower charts are created from my own personal photos, which I then alter in editing software to isolate the flower from the photo background. I clean up the stitches as much as possible and take care to minimize the amount of threads that are only used once or twice unless they are integral to the piece.
When I first created my flower charts I didn’t anticipate stitching them myself since they are quite large and thread heavy. However, as I started one with the intent to make a patch test I simply continued to stitch and never stopped! I quickly realized these larger flower charts were highly enjoyable to stitch and quite rewarding.
Watching a flower “bloom” as you stitch is quite something.
